ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the effects of heat-sensitive moxibustion combined with uncture and bloodletting on hemorheology and cerebral blood flow parameters of cedar spondylosis of ertebral artery type (CSA). Methods A total of 130 patients with CSA who met the inclusion criteria were andomly divided into 2 groups, 65 patients in each group. The observation group was treated with heat-sensitive oxibustion combined with blood-letting, and the control group was treated with conventional acupuncture. oth groups were treated for 14 days. The Transcranial Doppler was used to monitor the peak velocity of ystolic (Vs) of the intracranial vertebral artery and basilar artery, the peak velocity of diastolic (Vd) and the esistante index (RI). The whole blood viscosity (RBV), plasma specific viscosity (RPV), the hematocrit HCT) and the erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) were detected and the clinical efficacy was evaluated. Results The total effective rate was 93.9% (61/65) in the observation group and 80.0% (52/65) in the control roup. The difference between the two groups was statistically significant (χ2=5.482, P=0.019). After treatment, the RBV, the RPV, HCT and ESR in the observation group were significantly lower than the control group. The Vs on the left side of the vertebral artery in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group (t=2.087, P=0.039), and the Vs and Vd in the right vertebral artery were significantly higher than the control group (t values were 3.505, 3.161, respectively, all Ps<0.01). The RI of the observation group was significantly lower than the control group (t=2.425, P=0.017). The Vs and Vd of the basilar artery in the observation group were significantly higher than the control group (t values were 2.716, 4.748, all Ps<0.01), and the RI was significantly lower than the control group (t=3.299, P=0.001). Conclusions Moxibustion combined with bloodletting can relieve the symptoms of CSA patients, improve the vertebrobasilar blood supply and improve clinical efficacy.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE:To observe the clinical efficacy of qianliexin combined with tamsulosin hydrochloride and finasteride in the treatment of elderly benign prostatic hyperplasia.METHODS:Ninety-four patients diagnosed as benign prostatic hyperplasia in our hospital during May.2012-Oct.2014 were selected and divided into observation group (48 cases) and control group (46 cases) according to even and odd admission number. Both groups received Finasteride tablet 5 mg,po,qd.Basedon this, control group was additionally given Tamsulosin hydrochloride sustained-release capsules 0.2 mg,po,qd;observation group was additionally given Qianliexin capsules 2.5 g,po,tid,on the basis of control group.Clinical efficacies of 2 groups were observed as well as IPSS,BS,IIEF-5 score, ultrasonic measurement indexes and TCM syndrome score before and after treatment.RESULTS:Clinical total response rate of observation group was 93.75%,which was significantly higher than 76.09% of control group, with statistical significance (P<0.05).Before treatment, there was no statistical significance in IPSS,BS,IIEF-5 score, ultrasonic measurement indexes and TCM syndrome score between 2 groups (P>0.05).After treatment,IPSS and BS score, prostate volume (PV),residual urine(RU),each item score and total score of TCM syndrome were significantly decreased in 2 groups, while IIEF-5 score and Qmax were increased significantly;the observation group was significantly better than the control group, with statistical significance (P<0.05).CONCLUSIONS:Qianliexin combined with tamsulosin hydrochloride and finasteride shows significant therapeutic effi cacy for elderly benign prostatic hyperplasia, and is helpful to improve prostate symptoms and TCM syndromes, reduce PV and RU,and improve sexual function.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the effect of blood biochemical index and jaundice symptoms of plasma exchange on patients with severe hepatitis .Methods The clinical data of 50 severe hepatitis patients in our hospital from July 2012 to July 2013 using plasma exchange treatment were retrospectively analyzed .The patients were ana-lyzed blood biochemical changes and jaundice symptoms changes before and after treatment .Results After the treat-ment,AST,ALT,PTA,ALP,GGT,DBL,TBL,TBA and LDH were significantly decreased ,the difference was statisti-cally significant(t=7.21,7.58,4.31,11.63,10.23,8.26,4.13,16.48,7.32,all P0.05).Conclusion Plasma exchange technology can effectively improve the biochemical indexes of blood of patients with severe hepatitis ,improve the symptoms of jaundice .

ABSTRACT

A 53-year-old man was admitted to the hospital for verrucous hyperplasia on the circular sulcus for 2 years as well as erythematous painful swelling, ulcer and rupture of inguinal lymph nodes for more than 2 months. Physical examination revealed erythematous, indurated and painful swelling of bilateral inguinal lymph nodes. Fluctuation could be felt at the centre of the right swollen inguinal lymph nodes, where several pores were seen with yellowish-white purulent fluid flowing out, giving the appearance of a watering can. Multiple swollen or ulcerative lymph nodes were separated by the inguinal ligament forming the groove sign. There were irregular, indurated, verrucous, proliferative and keratinized lesions sized 1 cm × 2 cm on both sides of the circular sulcus. The right scrotum was obviously swelling. Erythematous, fluctuating swelling, ulcer and rupture of the glans fraenum were also observed with yellowish-white purulent exudates. Neither the secretion from the skin lesions on the surface of bilateral inguinal lymph nodes nor the puncture sample from the right groin was positive for multiple fungal or bacterial culture, acid-fast stain or first culture of C. trachomatis. However, the endogenous plasmid of Chlamydia was successfully amplified by PCR from these samples, and restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) analysis of the major outer membrane protein (MOMP) suggested that the genotype of the Chlamydia strain was L3. Western blot revealed the presence of anti-MOMP antibodies and anti-Pmp H antibodies (titer: > 1: 800) in serum. Culture of C. trachomatis also gave positive results after multiple passage. Biopsy of the verrucous hyperplasia on the right groin is consistent with well-differentiated squamous cell carcinoma of the skin. A diagnosis of lymphogranuloma venereum complicated by cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma was made.
